Kingstown Regatta

On the weekend of 20th and 21st July 2013 we will be celebrating

115 years

since the first live transmission of a

sporting event by Marconi

Between 11am-4pm on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July 2013

in conjunction with the Dun Laoghaire National Maritime Museum of Ireland

we will use unique radio call signs

EI115MAR and EI115KR

to commemorate the original event

 The Transmission Project who recorded the event at both the Hurdy Gurdy Radio Museum

and in the Maritime Museum in Dun Laoghaire.
